Faith Focused Friday
Good Morning sweet friends! I know I say this every week but it brings me show much joy to share these verses with you! This week in addition to sharing I wanted you to know that I pray for you all every week! This small community means so much to me. Thank you for being here! Thank you for believing in me and thank you for your support. This weeks verse is Galations 5:13. This verse speaks to me in many ways. Use your freedom to Serve one another in Love. Serve in Love. We are given freedom but not to be used in our sinful nature but to serve…

Murder Mystery Dinner
Oh man you guys! This was So. Much. Fun! I came across this kit while I was searching google for a fun quick game to play Halloween night. Turned out this one was little too involved for a night that is already packed with all the fun things! But I knew it would be perfect for a planned night that was devoted to just the game. Before I get too far into it, I did find a quick and free murder mystery game you can play that does not need a whole night devoted to it! I will link both at the end. This kit was purchased through Playing with…

Organizing is Life
Who is with me? I get anxiety when things do not have a place, life motto… A place for everything and everything in it’s place! I work really hard to keep a neat and organized home. I know so many of us have different opinions on this, and so please know that this is just what works for me. That is definitely not to say that every nook of our home is clean and organize because that would just be a cold blooded lie. Big picture – I do thrive to keep up on it so that things go smoothly and I am not constantly looking for something. I know…

Distance Learning
Who is still doing distance learning? We are located in Southern California and are still doing school from home! To say the least I am so sad for my sweet girls, they need their friends and their incredible teachers, in person. It has been tough but we have created a really positive environment at home and a very solid routine. I feel like I have a small advantage being a former teacher and a stay at home momma. I have used a lot of what I learned and practiced in the classroom, at home, and have the time to do so and focus on my girls. My heart goes out…

Faith Focused Friday
Life can be so tough! We forget the simplest solution to that! Seek out our great God. Look for Him, ask Him, pray to Him and give Him glory! That is what He wants most. It is so easy to forget the obvious sometimes! Why?! We try to take on such big mountains, emotions, situations, all by ourself, and that is just not how He made us! We need Him and we need our people. We simply cannot do this life on our own. The blessings He has laid out for us, the beautiful path Has written for us, all starts with us finding Him and doing everything we can…

Hair Products
Fun fact, I almost ended up a hair stylist! Hair is a passion of mine, right there on the top of the list with clothing, teaching, and organization! I have always been a helper of hair for, well… anything and everything! I love to do hair and try new products. Over the years I have found some really great ones! I rounded up my favorite hair products for y’all! Most of these products help repair hair or add/keep volume! I often get asked how I get volume and if my natural hair is thick, it is not thick at all. I actually have very fine hair! Here is my trick,…

Daily Make-Up
Here is what I use daily for my makeup routine. I spend 10 minuets max on my makeup and with the setting spray I use, I rarely ever have to touch up! I always start with a moisturizer. It is one thing I am confident about and feel has preserved my skin. When I know I will be out and about, especially in the summer, I use sunscreen first (the one linked below is invisible and incredibly lightweight – pretty much amazing). I have tried a few different types of moisturizer and have liked some but always go back to my tried and true, Clinique! I naturally have skin that…

Encouragement Hebrew 4:16
I remember the first time I heard this verse, I will never forget it. I was raised in a religious household but was never taught to ask God for anything, and definitely not to boldly approach His throne. Let me be clear in the sense, that I wasn’t taught that it was wrong, it just wasn’t how we did religion growing up. Religion was quiet and calm, it was never, bold. I, personally grew up thinking I had no business asking God for anything when there were others who have absolutely nothing, and then I heard this verse and it completely changed my thoughts on who God was and how…

Date Night In
With Covid it has been so hard to go on a date night. Let me be clear, grandma and grandpa are always willing to babysit but it is hard to find something to do! We have really learned that you don’t have to leave the house to have quality time with each other! I miss date nights and eating inside restaurants but it is not something we need, to be able to connect! These may not be new ideas but I think its all in how they are presented. We can say we are going to have a movie night at home but there is nothing too special about that…

Encouragement 1 John 4:4
Similar to last weeks encouragement post, I am just feeling the need to help remind you and me that world is not a place we can trust. Society brings us lies about what is beautiful, what is right, what should be cherished and what we should love. I have absolutely fallen victim to many of these things and have learned that no matter what it is we choose to make a priority in this world, it should be for His glory. Thoughts to ponder, do your priorities align with the word of God?
