Date Night In
With Covid it has been so hard to go on a date night. Let me be clear, grandma and grandpa are always willing to babysit but it is hard to find something to do! We have really learned that you don’t have to leave the house to have quality time with each other! I miss date nights and eating inside restaurants but it is not something we need, to be able to connect!
These may not be new ideas but I think its all in how they are presented. We can say we are going to have a movie night at home but there is nothing too special about that until you spend 5 bucks at the dollar store and grab a cute little bucket, bin, basket and place a popcorn bag and candy ready to go… maybe even surprise him with some new pajamas or flavored lip gloss. May sounds silly but the little details make the biggest difference.
Here are a few ideas:
Movie, popcorn and your favorite candies (all in a sweet bucket with some fun coupons for your guy)
Board games, snacks and a drink (set up ahead of time and maybe even buy some new glasses or fun napkins)
Conversation cards, a drink and a ton of laughs (grab a new drink recipe and buy all the things needed for it, set up ahead of time)
Marriage 365 podcasts and dinner (make him his favorite dinner and get the kids to bed early, pick a topic you are both interested and invest some real time into your marriage)
I added a few links to some games and things we have and love! Hope this is helpful in connecting with your guy especially around Valentine’s Day!
