Baby Routine

We thrive with routine and consistency at our house. Our girls sleep through the night, they are healthy and for the most part and know what to expect on a day to day basis! I’d like to preface this with stating that I am definitely not the perfect parent. I am also aware that what may work in our house for our girls may not work in all households and that is okay! The bigger picture is that us mommas stick together, encourage each other, respect each other and help each other in whatever way possible. Other mommas who have shared their tips and tricks has been so helpful to me. It is so refreshing to know that I am not alone and that other mommas are trying new things and are willing to share what works and doesn’t work. Here is what works for us right now.

Baby Routine – When we had our youngest, Chloe, I heard for the very first time about, Moms On Call! I cannot believe I did not know about this 9 years ago. It is the easiest book to read and follow and use as a resource, created by two on call nurses who have 7 kiddos of their own, between the two of them. In it, there are daily routines for your baby – what their day should look like, how much food and sleep they need based on their age and everything in between. We just graduated to their next level book, ages 6-15 months. It is so good! Not to get off track but I feel the need to mention it has everything in it, from how to trim nails, change a diaper, and swaddle a baby to what their cry means – WOW! Needless to say I use this book as a guide for Chloe’s schedule. We don’t follow this minute by minute but have used it as a basis for how we schedule our little’s routine. It has been so helpful, if for a momma on her third run!
